Possible topics that may come out in Elementary Maths Paper 2 on Wednesday

Dear O'level Studens,

It's the annual event again! Here are the possible topics that may be coming out this Wednesday in Emaths Paper 2. Take note and Best of Luck!

1. Proving and solving quadratic equations (may be on profit/loss or rate)
2. Drawing of graph (may be real world context, such as mensuration or throwing a stone from  tower).
3. Vectors with similarity proving and ratios of areas of triangles
4. Congruency proof
5. Sector area and arc length
6. Mensuration (Cones, Pyramids, Prism, and similarity ratios, and rate of flow)
7. Statistics with probability (Cummulative curve and probability, may even ask you to draw cumulative curve/histogram/box-and whiskers)
8. Algebra (simplify algebraic fractions, indices, expansion, special product and express as single  fraction, simultaneous equations and standard form)
9. Finance (taxation, foreign exchange, hire purchase, simple interest, discount, profit and loss percentages, commission)
10. Trigonometry (3D Trigo, cosine rule, sine rule, half-absinC, angle of elevation and depression)
11. Possibility diagram/Tree diagram (especially possibility diagram)
12. Properties of circle (angles in opp segments, radius perpendicular to tangent, tangents from external point, angle at centre = 2 angle at circumference)
13. Real world Context (likely topics: finance, mensuration, rates such as taxi rates, petrol consumption, and statistics under cumulative curve)

2017 Sec 3 / Sec 4 O'Levels Additional and Elementary Maths Classes are now OPEN!

Dear Parents and students,

Year 2017 Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 A/E Maths classes are now open for registration. Classes will be conducted on Saturdays.

Depending on the end-of-year results of the students, intensive classes may be conducted during the holidays in preparation for Year 2017. 

Venue: 38C Bendemeer Road (In between Boon Keng and Potong Pasir MRT stations)
Fees: $180 for every 4 lessons of 2h (group)

2015 Additional Maths Programme (12 Lessons) on Trigonometry, Differentiation & Integration

Hi Parents and Students,

The 2015 Additional Maths Programme (12 lessons) is now open for enrolling! The tentative date to start will be on 10th May 2015.

The programme will cover the following topics:
1. Trigonometry
    (Topics: Equations, Proving, Quadrants questions and R-formula)
2. Differentiation
    (Topics: the 4 rules of differentiation, application involving tangents & normals, increasing & decreasing functions, rate of change and maxima & minima)
3. Integration
    (Topics: Integration rules, definite integrals, area under curve and kinematics)

The above topics covers a weightage of about 60% of the AMaths paper, thus getting a good grasp of these concepts and having more practice on these topics is definitely a plus point to scoring an A1 for the AMaths paper.

This programme is useful for students who do not have any tutor to guide them and find it hard to cope with the understanding of these 3 topics. It is also suitable for students who wish to gain more practise and exposure to the commonly tested questions, including challenging questions, as the intensive drill will consists of many worksheets to practise on and quizzes to test your knowledge.
